    There is a lot going on in this movie but it all just seemed kind of pointless and dull to me. Every now and then there would be a good scene or piece of dialogue but for the most part I felt myself getting bored and reaching for my phone to play Cribbage. I guess what I didn't like most is that it all felt like a big filler episode instead of an action packed character driven story arc.

    Action, good Fx and a "not-completely-absurd" story. The actors perform well and you can identify them very well with their characters ... but it is all old and without imagination. I suppose nobody was expecting anything else, though ...

    This is another one of those movies that you watch primarily for the special effects with you favourite super heroes slugging it out. It is a classical Hollywood product where the story is mostly there just as a vehicle for allowing the special effects team to do their business. As such it is a success. The movie starts of with a display of action and the afore mentioned special effects with an attack by the Avengers on a bad guy stronghold. Not surprisingly the events sows the seeds for things to come. The movie starts off with quite an interesting story idea with the activation of Ultron. However, once he materializes as a physical entity, it became a bit of seen that, been there and done that. Ultron just turns into yet another “standard” comic book villain a’ la Megatron running around trying to look intimidating while implementing his diabolical scheme. Okay, there was a bit of originality here and there but with the good start I kind of expected a wee bit more. Having said that, the movie does indeed fulfil its purpose of showing off a bunch of super heroes slugging it out in a flurry of special effects and, although the story idea was perhaps not used as intelligently as I had hoped, it is not bad (for this kind of movie of course) and hangs together pretty okay. Sure, it is somewhat contrived and the means by which Ultron tries to exterminate humanity is overly complicated but it is still a decent story. Overall the movie was entertaining and provided the necessary special effects and super hero fix for those who are inclined to enjoy those kind of movies. I certainly am and, not surprisingly, the kids liked it as well.

    **A long form review originally posted in 2015:** I’ve just returned from two back-to-back viewings of _Avengers: Age of Ultron_, and I do not regret one bit going in for that second helping. I lost my steam on the _Age of Ultron_ wagon at a very inopportune moment. About three days before it came out. I was so heavily anticipating it for such a long time, that I was actually much more excited to see this movie when it was still two months away than I was waiting in line to get into the cinema it was playing at. The combination of the market-saturation and the fact that the _Ultron _hype-train has been running for literally years, with a first trailer dropping seven months before the damn thing came out, meant I got weary of the thing just a fraction too soon. But I’m a sucker for the MCU, and there was no way I was missing the sequel to my favourite superhero movie of all time. I won’t harp on too much, because I don’t want to spoil anything (especially given that the movie isn’t even out in most parts of the world), I will put out a spoilertalk on this blog at some point down the line, but for now just let me leave you with a couple of quick thoughts. _Age of Ultron_ is not the best film of all time. It’s not the best superhero film of all time, it’s not even the best MCU film. Honestly, I personally feel it’s not even the best MCU Phase 2 film. But it is still good. And that’s what’s important here. But what do I mean by that? Well, for starters, in and of itself, I loved it, a breach past an 80% approval rating from me is no small thing. The things we enjoyed from the first _Avengers_are here. The mesmerising action spectacles of course, but I more mean the character moments we got between the Avengers themselves, that was my favourite part of the first film and we get it here again in spades. Every new thing Joss has added to the plate works splendidly as well, real Hawkeye story, new heroes, a new villain, an updated world, all of these things are big ticks in lots of boxes. So if everything from _The Avengers_ works and everything they’ve added works great too, why is _Age of Ultron_ not a perfect film? For spoiler-free purposes I will not go into detail, but that’s okay because the answer is quite simple: Everything in _Age of Ultron_ is great. It’s what’s not in _Age of Ultron_ that’s the problem. Joss Whedon said that the film had to be cut by nearly an hour. That way you get more showings in, and that means more money. Now I’m not saying we need every minute of that hour back, but what we ended up being left with, was just enough for _Age of Ultron_ to be the _Thor: The Dark World_ of the _Avengers _franchise (it was a far superior film to _Dark World_, but hear me out). _Age of Ultron_ is little more than a holding pattern. The set-ups for future films take up too much time for the story to bear the weight of some actual story, but everything that occurs in the film itself somehow also has virtually no consequence on world it is a part of. I can’t say it more plainly than that: It’s a holding pattern. It introduces some stuff, but it doesn’t stand alone the first film did. It’s not such a big deal when the solo-movies do that (like the aforementioned _Dark World_) because we have _The Avengers_ films for those to pay off in. But when an _Avengers_ entry is just more of the same, I can’t fully get behind it. That all said, _Age of Ultron_ is of course a lot of fun. A huge amount of fun, I can’t state that enough. And there’s literally nothing more important something in the entertainment industry can be. These are just the things holding it back from taking it up to the next level (or if I’m being completely honest, even taking it to the level the first film was at). 75% -_Gimly_

    Will the big man do it himself in the next installment? I know he doesn't think fun is something that brings balance to the universe but I know doing it himself will put a smile to his face, so get on big man! 6/10 - There wasn't enough of Thanos doing it himself until the post credits, Not cool Marvel!

    After I watched this movie I finally understood what is a good director. The most amazing thing about this movie is that it has like 10 main characters and every one of them gets their own moment, their own private scene, you can feel each of them, undestand them. This is totally amazing that in 2 hour movie you can show over 10 characters that well. I'm totally amazed by the director. This is the reason I give it a 9! The stories of all main characters were amazing!

    Avengers 2 starts off very fast-paced - you're already in the midst of a battle and one of the first exchanges is a hilarious back-and-forth between Iron Man (Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Evans). It at once sets the scene for a great action film, but also helps to quickly re-introduce characters and their personalities. It's not essential to have seen the first movie, or even the 'Thor', 'Iron Man' or 'Captain America' films (and even 'Guardians of the Galaxy'), but they definitely help to add another layer of nuance and understanding to some events/characters.The plot is pretty straight forward - Iron Man wants to protect the world by having his automated suits everywhere. This inadvertently creates artificial intelligence, which turns out to be Ultron (Spader) - who wants to protect Earth by helping it to evolve. This obviously involves wiping out the human species! The Avengers can't handle him - and with Scarlet Witch (Olsen) and Quicksilver (Taylor-Johnson/Kick-Ass) on his side (before they see his true intentions) - they have to re-group and learn to all work together again. The introduction of Vision (Bettany) is handled well and is a welcome one for future films.One of the best aspects of this film is the characterisation - each Avenger gets some backstory and exposition, not just fight scenes. Hawkeye (Renner) probably comes off the best here, since he's often overlooked - he is after all just a guy who's a good archer! The Black Widow (Johansson) and Hulk (Ruffalo) 'romance' is odd and new, but doesn't necessarily work. However, it's good seeing Thor (Hemsworth), Iron Man and Captain America work as part of a team - especially when Thor and "Cap" combine to take out dozens of enemies at once! Spader's voice is great as the voice of discontent with the human species. While the ending is a little reminiscent of 'Superman Returns', the film takes you on an entertaining ride through the Marvel universe - I still look forward to the next instalment(s)!

    @ryanhazen:

    Ehh, what? I'll walk you through this. "BDrip" is copied directly from the disk. "BRrip" is a copy of a digital copy.

    BluRays and DVDs are generally leaked a month prior to release. Still with me?

    Okay, now ask yourself "How is there a full HD version available." It should add up for you.

    Good quality.

    Average, boring and just a drag. Had some moments but thats it. Rest is pretentious, pompous concoction of superhero sycophancy.

    Thanks YIFY.

    Not sure why people say the quality "rocked" because it didn't. Video was kind of watery and the audio is poorly mixed and often conversations are muffled and hard to understand. Stopped watching 10 minutes in to download a better copy.

    Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) is a MARVEL personal favorite film of mine I love MARVEL films and Avengers: Age of Ultron is a damn good sequel to Avengers. I love this film, if I would had to pick top 10 MARVEL favorite films I would put this movie in my top 10. It is a decent, solid, good, entertaining action sequel. James Spader took my heart out as Ultron. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen we are also good to look too who were twins in the film want it too destroy Tony Stark and the Avengers. Joss Whedon wrote and directed perfectly this movie. This is a really good movie not better than the first one "The Avengers" Is still the best one but this is a still worthy sequel I don't get the hate. Ultron was a bad-ass villain who wanted to destroy our world by creating a global extinction. Excellent performance from James Spader. Excellent performance from Robert Downey Jr. , Chris Evens, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo,, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth. Right from the comic books Ultron is based on a MARVEL comic book. Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch is a great powerful villain who can control people's mind. Awesome performance from Elizabeth Olsen she is a great babe. James Spader and Robert Downey Jr. played together in a teen movie Tuff Turf in 1985 and 30 years later they teamed together to star in a MARVEL comic book superhero film. I like Tuff Turf but Avengers: Age of Ultron is far way better film to me. You have a lots of action in the opening scene you see Captain America with motorcycle just like in the first movie (Captain America: First Avenger). Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong. Ultron is an artificial intelligence repurposed by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner for a pilot peace program that is overwhelmed with a god complex, and now desires to pacify the Earth by eradicating humanity. To stop him Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create another program and put J.A.R.V.I.S in to the body who becomes Vision his the only one who can stop Ultron by destroying our world.I love how Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow calming The Hulk down. Captain America fights off Ultron on a train a bad ass scene. Black Widow crashes motorcycle and jumps on a truck excellent stunt performance from Scarlett Johansson bad-ass. Iron Man battles The Hulk in a big armored suit. Nick Fury evacuate civilians with his ship Helicarrier while Captain America says I am not leaving this island until everyone is save. Clint Barton saves a young boy when Ultron opens fire at them and Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver jumps in front gun fire and dies saving Hawkeye and a child sacrificing him self. "The Avengers" face off against Ultron's army of drones I love the battle on Sokovia city who is moving I love the battle I love how Captain America saves an innocent woman on a bridge collapsing I love that rescue. I love the scenes in which Ultron and Maximoff twins are pursued by "The Avengers" too an African shipyard in the base of arms dealer Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) to obtain Wakandan vibranium I love the battle there love it. ©The problem with the film I have is it is way too long and they shouldn't have showed Hawkeye's personal life. That he has a wife and two daughters they shouldn't have done that. No one cares. The movie become from time to time boring that's my biggest problem with the film. The rest of the film is perfect 9 at least it is better than Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Guardian of the Galaxy 1 and Vol 2, Doctor Strange, The Incredible Hulk (2008) and many more bad MARVEL films that is my personal opinion.

    One user nailed it... underwhelming. What also really bothered me was Ultron's voice and character. Seemed too childish and immature for a villain. His humor was also cheesy.Still a decent film, but certainly not one of my favorite Avengers films.7/10 from me.

    In 2012, there came a day unlike any other day where the worlds greatest heroes were united against a common threat and THE AVENGERS blew away audiences of all ages with the first ever comic book movie crossover. In 2015, there came another day unlike any other day and this time the world is threatened by a Ultron, the cynical critical atypical child of Skynet and Megatron...... No actually he's just a wisecracking artificial intelligence with delusions of godhood and all round evil. Turning on his creators, he threatens all life on earth with his sidekicks "illusion- woman" and "not-the-flash"....I mean, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and it is up to the Avengers to take him out before he can usher in THE AGE OF ULTRON. Instead of the robot dominated dystopian future that we saw in the comics, what we do get is more "the next few days of Ultron". No matter, it is an exciting few days with director Joss Whedon balancing the intercharacter dynamics with awesome action pieces from claustrophobic close combat, to a freeway chase, to the much advertised no holds barred beat down between the Hulk and iron man's new "hulk buster" Armour. All this is supplemented with beautiful special effects from Industrial Lights and Magic ILM. Flawless work befitting the movie's massive Budget.In The villain, Ultron, the Writers have crafted a memorable though under utilised bad guy. Ultron could have been the vehicle to explore deeper themes, themes that were merely hinted at but never fleshed out. Instead, His cynical yet refined snarling courtesy of James Spader reminds me of the those magnificently passionate Super villains that were so common in Saturday morning cartoons of old.And that is exactly what this is. AGE OF ULTRON can be described as a true live action cartoon. The dialogue is light hearted, the story is straightforward, the tone is fun and the action is immense. And this is not exactly a good thing. Intense scenes are interrupted and spoilt with poorly placed humour and once again the story does not seem to take itself seriously. Fights are over-choreographed, more like some fancy ballet than an all out battle. The fact that it cuts to graceful slow motion once in a while only emphasises the dance like nature of the fights. And yet the movie felt like pieces of it were cut out. The narrative does not flow as smoothly as the first with inexplicable scenes like Thor suddenly going off on his hallucination trip. Much of the premise and the characters development up to this point very much depends on the viewer watching prior marvel movies. It is here that Marvel studio's continuity heavy Creative direction rears its ugly head. To know what is going on in this movie, one would have to watch the previous movies. Captain America the winter soldier, iron man 3, the first avengers movie. But perhaps that's the point? Force people to go buy the Blu rays or the video to rewatch and get up to speed. In the end, the real big winner is distributor Disney. Ka-Ching $$.I like a good comedy. In in a big action blockbuster, I like to believe that the stakes are real, that the dangers faced by our heroes are real, that they are really fighting for the fate of the world. Instead, we get this cartoony violence, with equally cartoony superficial story, where heroes joke around with quick lighthearted quips in the middle of a fight scene where people could die. This kills tension. And if it weren't for the magnificent effects, action and direction, AGE OF ULTRON would have scored a bit lower.
